Fixed income ETFs hit record yearly flows in US

Exchange-traded funds and exchange-traded products listed in Europe gathered $10.6 billion of net inflows during June 2017, bringing total assets under management within the European ETF/ETP industry to $686bn, according to ETF industry consultant ETFGI. The strong net gatherings marked the 34th consecutive month of positive net inflows for the region.

UBS unveils its second development bank bond ETF

UBS has listed new shares classes for two of its ETFs on SIX Swiss Exchange. The ETFs are the UBS ETF MSCI Canada UCITS ETF (SIX: CANA) and the UBS ETF MSCI Japan UCITS ETF (SIX: JPNA). Both new share classes will reinvest any income received from dividends and will supplement existing share classes that distribute dividends.

ETFGI has reported that assets invested in ETFs and ETPs listed in Europe have reached a new record high of $682 billion at the end of May 2017, up 3.7% from the $658bn seen at the end of the previous month. The report goes on to say that assets invested in Europe-listed ETFs/ETPs have increased by 19% from $572bn year-to-date.

Deutsche Asset Management has launched the Xtrackers MSCI Emerging Markets Index UCITS ETF (XMME) on London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse. Introduced as part of Deutsche’s ‘core’ range of ETFs – low cost, diversified funds designed to act as foundational building blocks for portfolio construction – the fund comes with a price tag of just 0.20%.

UBS unveils euro-hedged MSCI Europe ETF

UBS has launched the UBS MSCI Europe UCITS (hedged to EUR) ETF on Deutsche Börse’s Xetra and Frankfurt exchanges. The fund provides exposure to the MSCI Europe Index while minimizing the exchange rate risk between various non-euro currency exposures within the portfolio (including Swedish krona, Swiss franc, Norwegian krone, Danish krone and British pound) and the euro.
