Salt Financial to launch high-beta ETF

Salt Financial, a start-up ETF issuer based in New York, is to launch the Salt truBeta High Exposure ETF (SLT US) on Cboe Global Markets. The fund will target companies expected to exhibit higher volatility relative to the broad US market. Alfred Eskandar, co-founder of Salt Financial, said, “Today, investors generally have to choose between using complex products that reset daily or borrow on margin to enhance their exposure – we aim to provide a better alternative.”

DWS launches two ESG-focused eurozone government bond ETFs

Invesco PowerShares has cross-listed the PIMCO Euro Short-Term High Yield Corporate Bond Index Source UCITS ETF (EUHA SW) on SIX Swiss Exchange. The fund, managed by bond specialists PIMCO, tracks the BofA Merrill Lynch 0-5 Year Euro Developed Markets High Yield 2% Constrained Index, comprising short-term, euro-denominated corporate bonds issued within the eurozone with a rating below investment grade.

Invesco has cross-listed three PowerShares fixed income ETFs onto SIX Swiss Exchange, each tracking Bloomberg Barclays indices. The ETFs offers exposure to US dollar-denominated corporate bonds, euro-denominated corporate bonds, and dollar-denominated emerging market sovereign bonds.


Invesco to move to one global brand

Invesco has announced that it is moving to a unified global brand. The company will now be referred to as Invesco everywhere it does business with the brands affected by the change being Perpetual, Trimark and Invesco’s ETF business PowerShares. Marty Flanagan, president and CEO of Invesco, said, “Although we are moving to a unified brand, we will preserve the time-tested and distinctive investment perspectives, processes and approaches of our many investment teams across the globe.”

Vanguard adds developed APAC and emerging markets ESG ETFs

Investment research firm Morningstar has published the latest instalment of its ETF Managed Portfolios Landscape Report. The report, which covers the third-quarter of 2017, found that total assets under management in the ETF managed portfolios segment increased 7.5% to $115.0 billion. Vanguard retained its position at the top of the mountain with over $9.1bn in AUM across 44 strategies.

Invesco cuts fees on two PowerShares S&P 500 factor ETFs

Invesco has lowered the fees charged on two NYSE Arca-listed ETFs, the PowerShares S&P 500 Momentum Portfolio (SPMO US) and the PowerShares S&P 500 Enhanced Value Portfolio (SPVU US), from 0.25% to 0.13%, effective 1 January 2018. Dan Draper, global head of ETFs at Invesco, commented, “We are constantly evaluating our product offerings to ensure that we are offering cost-efficient investment solutions to meet the needs of our investors.”
