21 ETFs added to E*TRADE’s commission-free platform

E*TRADE Financial has announced a significant expansion of 21 new ETFs to its commission-free ETF line-up. The platform allows select ETFs to be bought or sold without paying brokerage commissions.

Since 1 March 2017, E*TRADE has added 21 ETFs from seven providers, including ACSI Funds, ArrowShares, ETF Securities, Janus Henderson, JP Morgan, Legg Mason, and OppenheimerFunds, to its commission-free ETF program.

With these additions, E*TRADE now offers a total of 149 commission-free ETFs—one of the largest offerings in the industry.

“While mirroring broad indices is an important and tried and true use for ETFs, today you can also do so much more with these vehicles,” said Rich Messina, senior vice president of investment product at E*TRADE Financial. “They provide seamless access to strategies and sectors once reserved only for professionals. With the recent additions to our commission-free ETF platform, comprehensive diversification is now more easily and cheaply attainable than ever before.”
