S&P Dow Jones Indices has launched the S&P Carbon Price Risk Adjusted Indices, a global index series which re-weights constituents of indices such as the S&P 500 to account for estimated market valuation risk from forecast 2030 carbon prices. Hannah Skeates, senior director, ESG and strategy indices at S&P Dow Jones Indices, said: “The S&P Carbon Price Risk Adjusted Index Series was developed to help market participants understand the financial risks embedded among the higher carbon emitters of the current global economy.”

Lyxor launches S&P 500 Banks ETF

Lyxor has unveiled a new ETF providing exposure to US large-cap banking stocks and diversified financials. Launched on the LSE and Borsa Italiana, the Lyxor S&P 500 Banks UCITS ETF takes its constituents from the bellwether S&P 500 index of blue-chip US companies. Commenting on the launch, Adam Laird, Head of ETF Strategy, Northern Europe, at Lyxor ETF, said: “There’s a lot of opportunity in American banks. Rising rates give the potential for higher margins – and the sector could get a shot in the arm by the US administration’s planned deregulation campaign.”

Global X Funds has launched the Global X S&P 500 Quality Dividend ETF (QDIV US) on Cboe BZX, providing exposure to a S&P 500 stocks that have been selected for their income potential and robust financial metrics. “With QDIV, we are excited to offer a dividend strategy for investors that has the potential to both provide quality income and appreciate in value in a strengthening economy,” said Jay Jacobs, director of research at Global X.

ProShares adds online retail ETF to thematic suite

ProShares has launched the ProShares Online Retail ETF (ONLN US), enabling investors to participate in the continued upside of the online retail theme. Listed on NYSE Arca, the passively managed ETF invests in companies principally selling online or through other non-physical channels, such as mobile or app. “Rather than investing in an individual company, investors can now get exposure to Amazon, Alibaba and other global leaders in online retail with a single ticker: ONLN,” said Michael Sapir, co-founder and CEO of ProShare Advisors.


JP Morgan expands ETF offering on SIX Swiss Exchange

Goldman Sachs lists ETFs on SIX Swiss Exchange

JP Morgan Asset Management has added to its presence in Switzerland with the cross-listing of a further three ETFs on SIX Swiss Exchange. The new listings take the number of JP Morgan ETFs on the Zurich exchange to seven. The listings comprise two short-term bond strategies (one passive, one active) and an active long-short equity hedge fund-style product.
