Indexing giant MSCI has partnered with the Saudi Stock Exchange, or Tadawul, to create a tradeable index that can serve as the basis for investment instruments including ETFs. Khalid Al Hussan, Chief Executive Officer of Tadawul, said the launch of the index would “pave the way for ETFs”.

Invesco has reduced the fees on three of its US-listed equity ETFs that provide smart beta exposure to the US market. Two of the funds target the dividend and quality factors while the third blends exposure to both value and momentum risk premia.

Invesco has extended its suite of defined maturity BulletShares ETFs with the launch of 2026 and 2028 products on NYSE Arca. “The longer maturity date of the two new Invesco BulletShares ETFs will further democratize the bond laddering process for investors, offering a convenient and liquid way to meet the market for defined income needs,” said Dan Draper, Global Head of ETFs at Invesco.

United States Commodity Funds (USCF) has announced that it is closing and liquidating three sub-scale ETFs. The ETFs slated for closure provide exposure to a broad basket of agriculture-based futures, the inverse performance of WTI crude oil, and diesel-heating oil.

First Trust has launched an equity factor rotation ETF in partnership with Lunt Capital Management. Listed on Cboe BZX, the First Trust Lunt US Factor Rotation ETF (FCTR US) rotates among four style factors to provide exposure to large-cap US equities. “The fund embraces a multi-factor approach with the important innovation of applying factor rotation,” said John Lunt, President, Lunt Capital.

Internet and Communication Services ETFs have taken a hit on the back of a slump in the price of Facebook stock, which dropped 20% following the announcement of its latest quarterly earnings. The social media giant saw its market value dive by around $120 billion on Thursday, causing pain for ETFs that hold the stock in significant quantities.

Invesco has rolled out a suite of smart beta bond ETFs – the Invesco Fixed Income Factor ETF Suite – on NYSE Arca. The suite has been created on the back of research from the firm’s active management capability and comprises eight funds linked to proprietary in-house indices. “Self-indexing is a natural extension of Invesco’s commitment to pursuing better outcomes for our clients and we are excited to have the capacity to address their diverse needs,” said Andrew Waisburd, head of Invesco Indexing.

Invesco Canada has reduced the fees on several of its ETFs. The funds have also been renamed, dropping the PowerShares brand in favour of Invesco.
