DWS’s Xtrackers EUR Corporate Bond UCITS ETF (XBLC GY) has broken through €1 billion in assets under management. The fund, which provides access to the euro-denominated investment-grade corporate bond market, has reached the milestone through a combination of healthy market performance and strong investor inflows. BlackRock introduces GBP-hedging on ESG corporate bond ETFs

BlackRock has launched GBP-hedged share classes for two of its sustainability-themed fixed income ETFs listed in Europe. The funds, which are linked to Bloomberg Barclays indices with SRI screening from MSCI, provide exposure to euro or US dollar-denominated corporate bonds from issuers with acceptable environmental, social, and governance (ESG) profiles.

BlackRock launches China onshore local currency bond ETF

BlackRock has launched a new fixed income ETF in Europe, providing physical exposure to renminbi-denominated government and policy bank bonds issued in China. The iShares China CNY Bond UCITS ETF has been listed on Euronext Amsterdam in US dollars (CNYB NA) and on Xetra in euros (ICGB GY). It is linked to the Bloomberg Barclays China Treasury + Policy Bank Index. Vasiliki Pachatouridi, Head of iShares EMEA Fixed Income Strategy, said, “The investment case for China is clear – it boasts the second-largest bond market in the world, its bond yields are higher and bond return correlations lower compared to major developed countries.”


WisdomTree cross-lists enhanced yield bond ETFs on SIX Swiss Exchange

WisdomTree has cross-listed two smart beta fixed income ETF on the Six Swiss Exchange. The WisdomTree EUR Aggregate Bond Enhanced Yield UCITS ETF and the WisdomTree EUR Government Bond Enhanced Yield UCITS ETF seek to provide enhanced yields compared to similar core European investment-grade bond and treasury benchmarks while limiting tracking error and risk. SSGA launches ultra-short-term US T-Bill ETF in Europe

State Street Global Advisors has launched a new fixed income in Europe providing exposure to ultra-short-term debt securities issued by the US government. Listed on Xetra, the SPDR Bloomberg Barclays 1-3 Month T-Bill UCITS ETF (ZPR1 GY) targets the short end of the Treasury bill market and mirrors the strategy of a $9bn+ ETF offered by SSGA in the US. Antoine Lesné, Head of EMEA Strategy & Research for SPDR ETF, said the ETF can be used as a strategic portfolio building block, as a tactical tool for adjusting portfolio duration and credit quality, or in cash and liquidity management.


Premia Partners launches Vietnam equity and US FRN ETFs in Hong Kong

Hong Kong-based asset manager Premia Partners has launched two new ETFs on the Hong Kong stock exchange. The Premia MSCI Vietnam ETF and Premia US Treasury Floating Rate ETF provide exposure to Vietnamese equities and US Treasury Floating Rate Notes (FRNs), respectively. Invesco has launched new ETF share classes on London Stock Exchange and SIX Swiss Exchange, providing access to different segments of the US Treasury bond market while hedging currency exposure to pound sterling. They are the Invesco US Treasury Bond 1-3 Year UCITS ETF GBP Hedged (T3GB LN, T3GB SW) and the Invesco US Treasury Bond UCITS ETF GBP Hedged (TRGB LN, TRGB SW).

Nomura launches US corporate bond ETF in Japan

Japanese investment firm Nomura Asset Management has launched a new ETF on Tokyo Stock Exchange. The NEXT FUNDS Bloomberg Barclays US Intermediate Corporate Index (JPY Hedged) ETF (2554 JP) provides exposure to the investment-grade, fixed-rate, taxable corporate bond market while hedging currency exposure relative to the Japanese yen.


Vanguard launches aggregate bond ETF in Europe

Vanguard has launched a new fixed income ETF in Europe – the Vanguard Global Aggregate Bond UCITS ETF – which provides broad and diversified exposure to investment grade bonds from both developed and emerging market issuers. Mark Fitzgerald, Head of ETF Product Management in Europe at Vanguard, commented, “Investors are often tempted to invest locally when it comes to fixed income, largely out of familiarity. However, the added diversity of a global bond allocation can actually reduce the risk of an investor’s fixed income portfolio”. The ETF comes with a TER of 0.10% and has been listed on LSE and Deutsche Börse.
