Invesco has launched a new suite of defined maturity BulletShares ETFs providing exposure to portfolios of emerging markets debt maturing in a given year. “The new BulletShares Emerging Markets ETFs continue to democratize the bond laddering process for investors, offering a convenient and liquid way to meet the market for defined income needs,” said Dan Draper, Global Head of ETFs at Invesco.

Amplify ETFs has announced that the Amplify YieldShares Senior Loan and Income ETF (YESR US) is to close. Currently listed on NYSE Arca, the fund will have its last trading day on 4 October 2018.

Invesco has launched the Invesco S&P Europe 350 Equal Weight Index ETF (EQE CN) on Canada’s NEO Exchange. The fund tracks the S&P Europe 350 Equal Weight Index and is Canada’s first ETF to provide equal-weight exposure to European large-cap equities.

BlackRock has launched the iShares S&P 500 Communication Sector UCITS ETF (IUCM LN) on London Stock Exchange, providing exposure to large- and mid-cap equities from firms operating in the newly created communications sector of the S&P 500.

Invesco is understood to be in the final stages of acquisition talks with OppenheimerFunds in a deal worth around $5 billion, according to sources close to the matter. The deal, potentially to be announced in October, would be Invesco’s third ETF-related buyout in two years, following the acquisitions of Source and Guggenheim Investments in August 2017 and April 2018 respectively.

Invesco has broadened its range of US sector ETFs with the launch of the Invesco Communications S&P US Select Sector UCITS ETF (XLCS LN) on London Stock Exchange, providing exposure to the newly created Communications sector of the S&P 500 Index. Chris Mellor, Head of EMEA ETF Equity Product Management at Invesco, said “the new, broader Communications sector will offer higher growth potential, albeit with higher risk, and give investors the opportunity to access more cyclical companies.”

Invesco has launched a new range of ETFs in the US targeting returns attributable to size and quality factor risk premia. Listed on Nasdaq Exchange, the suite includes five funds providing exposure to US, international developed, and emerging market equities, as well as US and international small-caps.

BlackRock has launched the iShares Nasdaq 100 UCITS ETF EUR Hedged (NQSE GY) on Xetra, offering currency-hedged exposure to the well-known Nasdaq 100 Index.
