BlackRock has announced closures to sixteen US iShares ETFs

After the close of business on 15 August 2018, the funds concerned will no longer accept creation orders.

Trading will be suspended prior to market open on 16 August 2018.

The funds have failed to attract significant assets under management.

The smallest fund (HHYX) set for closure has just $1.4m in AUM and the largest (HEFV), $16.7m.

The funds were launched in 2015 and 2016, and are mostly (15 out of 16) equity funds, all of which are linked to MSCI indices.

The one fixed income fund is linked to a Markit iBoxx index.
