Invesco has cross-listed three PowerShares ETFs, comprising seven trading lines, to Switzerland’s SIX Swiss Exchange. The ETFs offer currency-hedged exposure to the Nasdaq 100, a high-dividend low-volatility version of the S&P 500, and US high-yield bonds.

Global passive assets are set to more than double from $14 trillion in 2016 to $37tn by 2025, according to a recent report from professional services firm PwC.

Frankfurt-based index provider Solactive is celebrating ten years since its founding in 2007. The firm has grown to produce more than 4,500 indices for over 350 clients and there are now over 260 ETFs tracking indices calculated by Solactive. Steffan Scheuble, CEO of Solactive, commented, “This has been a wonderful ten-year journey full of excitements and challenges.”

South African asset manager Sygnia has unveiled four new ETFs on Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) as part of its Sygnia Itrix range. The funds provide exposure to a range of local and international asset classes including JSE-listed equities, US equities and global property.

Franklin Templeton has unveiled its first fully passive ETFs, including 14 single-country and two regional funds. The ETFs, which track market cap-weighted indices designed by FTSE Russell, are scheduled to be listed on NYSE Arca on 6 November 2017. Patrick O’Connor, global head of ETFs for Franklin Templeton, said: “Our new suite of passive ETFs will provide a cost-effective way to access beta solutions, further rounding out our offerings for US investors.”
