Source and Goldman Sachs expand range of smart beta ETFs

Source, one of Europe’s leading providers of exchange-traded funds, has announced the launch of the Source Goldman Sachs Equity Factor Index Europe UCITS ETF, the second Source ETF to be launched that provides access to Goldman Sachs’ innovative series of multi-factor “smart beta” indices. Michael John Lytle, Chief Development Officer at Source, said: “Smart beta funds have proven successful in certain markets, providing investors with the potential to generate better returns than the more common market-cap weighted benchmarks, particularly on a risk-adjusted basis.”

Source and Rothschild launch equal risk smart beta ETF

Source, a London-based provider of exchange-traded funds and Risk Based Investment Solutions, a recently launched and wholly owned subsidiary of investment bank Rothschild, have announced the launch of the Source R Equal-Risk European Equity UCITS ETF. The fund, the first Rothschild product available using an ETF structure, is linked to the R Risk-Based European Equity Index Net TR. This index aims to provide broad European equity exposure with lower volatility than traditional market-capitalisation-weighted investments.

Source, a leading provider of exchange-traded funds, has announced the launch of the Source Nasdaq Biotech UCITS ETF (SBIO), the first Europe-listed ETF to track the Nasdaq Biotechnology Index. “Source is launching this product in direct response to investor demand,” said Source CEO Ted Hood. “While there are some large, actively managed biotech funds available to Europe investors, passive options are limited. There are several ETFs, including our own, tracking the US Health Care sector, but we see many investors looking for more focused biotech exposure.”

Source registers 59 ETFs in Spain

Source, a London-headquartered provider of exchange-traded funds, has announced that 59 of its ETFs have been registered with the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), Spain’s securities market regulator, making them available for public distribution across the country. The range of ETFs now available to Spanish investors features strategies developed together with Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Man GLG, Morgan Stanley and Nomura, and includes so-called ‘smart beta’ strategies that provide alternatives to investing on a traditional market capitalisation weighted basis.

The ETF provides exposure to banks within the Eurozone and is optimised to reduce exposure to illiquid stocks. The optimisation process applies various filters including a liquidity factor and a variable individual stock weight cap to produce a more representative and tradable sector benchmark. Source lists debut US ETF

Source, the European ETF provider which recently confirmed its entry into the US market, has announced the launch of its debut US ETF, the Source Euro Stoxx 50 ETF (ESTX). The ETF, which has been listed on the NYSE Arca, offers highly liquid exposure to the European equity market via the Euro Stoxx 50 Index of large-cap Eurozone stocks. Source expands ETF presence on Deutsche Börse

Listed on the London Stock Exchange, the Source JP Morgan Macro Hedge Dual Vega Target 4% TR UCITS ETF (MHVT) aims to provide cost-effective exposure to volatility and is designed for sophisticated investors. The fund switches from long to long/short US equity exposure depending on market conditions. During times of market stress, it adds long exposure to European equity volatility.
