WisdomTree has teamed up with Team8 to launch a new thematic equity ETF in Europe providing smart beta exposure to the cybersecurity space.

Rize ETF has seen its stable of thematic equity ETFs reach $100 million in AUM, less than a year since the launch of its first fund.

Rize ETF has cross-listed its cybersecurity and medical cannabis ETFs into Switzerland, tradeable in Swiss francs. The Rize Cybersecurity and Data Privacy UCITS ETF (CYBR SW) and Rize Medical Cannabis and Life Sciences UCITS ETF (FLWR SW) have listed in Zurich on the SIX Swiss Exchange.

London-based thematic issuer Rize ETF, which debuted earlier this year, has registered its funds for distribution in the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. The Rize Cybersecurity and Data Privacy UCITS ETF and Rize Medical Cannabis and Life Sciences UCITS ETF provide equity exposure to firms linked to the cybersecurity and medical cannabis investment themes respectively. The funds were already registered for distribution in the UK, Germany, Italy, and Ireland.

Proponents of thematic investing have reason to cheer with the arrival of a new ETF issuer, Rize ETF, dedicated to thematic portfolios. The London-based firm is founded by four alumni of ETF Securities and LGIM and aims to carve out a niche as a specialist provider of thematic ETFs. It has debuted with a pair of equity ETFs focused on cybersecurity and data privacy, and medical cannabis and life sciences.
