S&P Dow Jones licenses S&P MILA 40 Index to Horizons for Colombia-listed ETF

S&P Dow Jones has licensed the S&P MILA 40 Index, an index tracking 40 of the largest stocks on Latin America’s MILA platform, to Horizons ETFs Group to serve as the basis for an exchange-traded fund listed in Colombia. The ETF, known locally as the Fondo Bursátil Horizons MILA 40 de S&P (HMILA40), will be listed on the Bolsa de Valores de Colombia (BVC) and will be the first Andean equity-focused ETF available in Colombia.

Horizons ETFs has announced the launch of the Horizons Active Floating Rate Preferred Share ETF (HFP) on the Toronto Stock Exchange, providing Canadian investors with an opportunity to gain floating-rate exposure to North American preferred shares in exchange-traded fund format. RBC launches seven new ETFs

Toronto-based Horizons ETFs has unveiled two new exchange-traded funds that will provide investors with exposure to the two largest sectors of the Canadian stock market – financials and energy. With annual management fees of just 0.35%, the two funds become the lowest-cost products in their peer group, almost 40% less expensive than the next lowest-cost ETF tracking the same index.

Veteran investor Blair Hull plans active ETF

Blair Hull, a veteran US trader and investor, has teamed up with Exchange Traded Concepts, a firm offering turnkey exchange-traded fund (ETF) solutions, to launch an active ETF. A registration statement and preliminary prospectus has already been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The fund, which will be launched under the HTAA (Hull Tactical Asset Allocation) brand, will utilise advanced algorithms as well as macro and technical indicators to anticipate future market returns.

Horizons USA, a member of the Horizons ETFs Group, has launched its first exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the United States. The launch expands Horizons’ international reach, which now includes operations in Canada, South Korea, Hong Kong and Australia. The firm’s debut US product, the Horizons S&P 500 Covered Call ETF (HSPX), provides exposure to the S&P 500 Index while also generating additional income through the sale of call options.

Mirae Asset’s Horizons debuts two low-cost ETFs on Hong Kong exchange

Mirae Asset Global Investments, manager of the Horizons exchange-traded funds (ETFs) brand, has launched two low-cost products on the Hong Kong stock exchange: the Horizons MSCI China ETF (3040) and the Horizons Hang Seng High Dividend Yield ETF (3110). The funds provide exposure to the MSCI China and Hang Seng High Dividend Yield indices and are among Hong Kong’s cheapest ETFs, with total expense ratios of 0.25% and 0.38% respectively.

UBS launches sustainable commodities ETF

Canada-based Horizons ETFs and its affiliate AlphaPro Management have announced the launch of the Horizons Auspice Broad Commodity Index ETF (HBR) on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The ETF tracks the Auspice Broad Commodity Excess Return Index, hedged to the Canadian dollar, and offers investors diversified, tactical long exposure to up to 12 different commodity futures in the energy, metals and agricultural sectors.
