Invesco has launched a new European-domiciled ETF providing exposure to the equity market of Kuwait. The Invesco MSCI Kuwait UCITS ETF (MKUW LN) has listed on London Stock Exchange in US dollars and comes seeded with $50 million in assets under management. The fund offers investors a liquid and convenient vehicle to gain access to Kuwaiti equities ahead of the country’s graduation to emerging market status by index provider MSCI.


Mackenzie launches EM local currency bond ETF

Mackenzie launches low-cost emerging markets local currency bond ETF

Canadian asset manager Mackenzie Investments has launched a new ETF that provides exposure to local currency debt from emerging market government issuers. The Mackenzie Emerging Markets Local Currency Bond Index ETF (QEBL CN) has listed on Toronto Stock Exchange and comes with a management expense ratio (MER) of 0.45%, the lowest among Canadian-domiciled emerging markets bond ETFs.

Nikko debuts in Hong Kong with global internet ETF

Tokyo-headquartered Nikko Asset Management has introduced its first ETF in Hong Kong with the launch of the Nikko AM Global Internet ETF on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. The fund is linked to the iEdge-FactSet Global Internet Index which provides thematic equity exposure to leading internet companies globally. BlackRock adds two new synthetic equity ETFs in Europe

BlackRock has launched five new ETFs in Europe providing exposure to the consumer discretionary, consumer staples, energy, healthcare, and information technology segments of the global equity market. The new funds are linked to MSCI sector indices derived from the MSCI World Index and have been listed on Deutsche Börse Xetra in euros and on Euronext Amsterdam in US dollars. With TERs of 0.25%, they become the cheapest world sector ETFs available in Europe.

The fund provides exposure to the Chinese government bond market and has been listed in London (CBND LN) and Frankfurt (GASF GR). Peter Thompson, Head of GSAM’s European ETF Business, said, “The latest addition to the GSAM European ETF range provides investors with a smart, simple solution to accessing the Chinese bond market.”
