The actively managed ETF primarily targets companies within the market capitalization range of the Russell 1000 Index, aiming to outperform this benchmark while maintaining sector neutrality.

The fund is led by experienced portfolio managers Timothy Creedon, David Levine, and Jacob Gamerman. Their approach leverages in-depth, fundamental research supported by Neuberger Berman’s team of analysts. This research involves rigorous company visits, management interviews, and proprietary financial modeling to identify attractive investment opportunities.

In addition to focusing on common stocks of US companies, the ETF may include other equity securities such as REITs, rights and warrants, ETFs, and depository receipts. The fund considers environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors alongside traditional financial metrics, although it does not specifically pursue a sustainable investment strategy.

As of the end of July, the Russell 1000 Index’s five largest sector exposures were Information Technology at 34.5%, Consumer Discretionary at 13.8%, Industrials at 12.5%, Health Care at 11.2%, and Financials at 10.9%.

Among the ETF’s holdings, the largest single stock positions are well-known names such as Apple, Microsoft, Amazon.com, Alphabet, and NVIDIA. These companies collectively represent over a quarter of the portfolio exposure, reflecting the fund’s strong emphasis on high-performing firms from the technology and consumer service sectors.

The ETF has a total expense ratio of 0.30%, making it a cost-effective option compared to many other actively managed large-cap equity ETFs.

Neuberger Berman has significantly expanded its active ETF platform since debuting its first product in April 2022. The firm now offers 11 funds, covering a range of asset classes including equities, fixed income, real assets, and liquid alternatives. These ETFs are designed to provide diverse investment opportunities, leveraging Neuberger Berman’s expertise in active management to target specific investment themes and strategies.
