The portfolios combine WisdomTree’s fundamentally weighted investment approach with IQCIO’s Intelligent Portfolio Optimizer.

Tom Skrobe, WisdomTree head of client solutions, said: “The launch of these new model portfolios underscores WisdomTree’s commitment to helping advisors solve investment challenges they face in the current market environment.”

Luciano Siracusano, WisdomTree chief investment strategist, added: “Increasingly, we are hearing that investors are looking for ways to build their savings while defensively participating in the appreciation potential offered by equity markets. The challenge is how to participate in the upside while mitigating losses during periods of high volatility.

“In collaboration with the IQCIO team, our WisdomTree IQCIO Model Portfolios aim to deliver smarter solutions, capturing the key strengths of both organizations: WisdomTree’s innovative and differentiated smart beta solutions and IQCIO’s quantitative approach to portfolio management.”

Three separate portfolios are part of the offering – conservative, moderate or aggressive – and are available only for KIS Financial Advisors through the Envestnet Wealth Management Platform.

Ed Ho, IQCIO CEO, said: “We are excited to work with WisdomTree, a pioneer in smart beta and factor investing. IQCIO’s Intelligent Portfolio Optimizer (‘IPO’), specializing in dynamically risk-managed, multi-asset portfolios, is guided by over three years of intensive proprietary risk management research.”

Skrobe added: “We’re thrilled to work with other innovators in the industry, such as IQCIO, to develop the solutions necessary for advisors and investors to navigate and solve for challenges ahead.”
