UBS lists twelve new ETFs on Deutsche Borse Xetra

UBS Global Asset Management has listed twelve new ETFs on Deutsche Börse’s Xetra in the past couple of weeks, as the Switzerland-headquartered investment giant builds out its ETF offering.

UBS has listed a further twelve ETFs on Deutsche Borse Xetra. The ETFs provide exposure to developed-market equities.

The ETFs were introduced in two batches: on 30 May 2012 and 12 June 2012.

The 12 ETFs are based on seven different major developed-market equity indices. Ten are based on five reference indices – two ETFs on each index, institutional and private client unit classes – while two have been launched with a single unit class. The class “I” ETFs are aimed primarily at institutional investors; the class “A” ETFs are aimed at private clients.

MSCI USA
The MSCI USA tracks the performance of the developed equity markets in the US based on total return with dividends reinvested. The index currently includes around 600 medium to large-sized US companies, which represent approximately 84% of free-float market capitalisation.

MSCI USA Value
The MSCI USA Value enables investors to track the US stock markets using a value strategy approach. US equities are admitted to the index according to a selection process based on eight items of historical and forward-looking fundamental data. Those companies whose share price is classified as undervalued in comparison to the value of the company are included.

The MSCI World offers investors access to 1600 medium to large-sized companies from 24 industrialised countries across all sectors.

MSCI Japan
The MSCI Japan enables investors to participate in the performance of medium- and large-sized companies from Japan.

FTSE 100
The FTSE 100 tracks the performance of the UK’s 100 largest blue-chip companies across all sectors.

S&P 500
The S&P 500 tracks the performance of the 600 largest US stock corporations. The reference index represents 75% of the total US stock market. Dividends and distributions are taken into account in the index calculation after any tax is deducted.
