UBS launches US multifactor ETF on Borsa Italiana

UBS has listed its UBS MSCI USA Select Factor Mix UCITS ETF (USFMD) on Borsa Italiana, providing multifactor exposure to US equities.

UBS launches US multifactor ETF on Borsa Italiana

The UBS MSCI USA Select Factor Mix UCITS ETF is now available on Borsa Italiana with fees of 0.30%.

The fund tracks the MSCI USA Select Factor Mix Index which includes large-, mid- and small-cap stocks across the US equity universe. The smart beta index is constructed using a combination of six factor indices and is designed to represent the performance of long-term risk factors such as momentum, value, quality, shareholder yield, volatility and size.

The physically replicating ETF trades in euros and has a total expense ratio (TER) of 0.30%.

It is also listed on the London Stock Exchange where it trades in British pounds, and on the SIX Swiss Exchange where it trades in US dollars and Swiss francs.

As of the end of April, the underlying index had 2,250 constituents and is well diversified with the largest stock within the index, Apple, accounting for just 3%. The index’s largest sector exposure is information technology (23.3%), followed by industrials (14.7%) consumer discretionary (13.4%), health care (11.3%) and financials (11.2%).

Indicating its potential to provide superior risk-adjusted returns compared to traditional market cap-weighted benchmarks, the index has returned 8.1% per annum over the past ten years with an annualized standard deviation of 14.6%, while the MSCI USA IMI Index returned 6.8% per annum with an annualized standard deviation of 15.8% over the same period.
