TD Asset Management rolls out ten new ETFs in Canada

TD Asset Management (TDAM), a subsidiary of Toronto-Dominion Bank, has rolled out ten new ETFs on Toronto Stock Exchange.

TD Asset Management ETFs

TD Asset Management celebrated the launch of their new ETFs by participating in a market opening ceremony at Toronto Stock Exchange on 27 November 2019.

The ETFs are all actively managed and deliver a range of equity, fixed income, and real estate exposures.

Equities

The TD Q Canadian Dividend ETF (TQCD CN) seeks to earn income and moderate capital growth by investing in dividend-paying common stocks, preferred securities, and real estate investment trusts listed in Canada.

The manager uses a quantitative equity strategy to identify securities that have above-average dividend yields as well as issuers that are expected to increase their dividends over time. The fund comes with an expense ratio of 0.35%.

The TD Q Global Dividend ETF (TQGD CN) is similar to the TD Q Canadian Dividend ETF but targets income securities listed worldwide. It comes with an expense ratio of 0.40%.

The TD Q US Small-Mid Cap Equity ETF (TQSM CN) seeks long-term capital growth by investing in equity securities of small and medium-sized US companies. The portfolio is expected to contain a large number of securities, diversified across all sectors. Security selection is driven by a quantitative strategy that aims to exploit market pricing inefficiencies while factoring in implementation costs. The fund comes with an expense ratio of 0.40%.

The TD Q Global Multifactor ETF (TQGM CN) offers a core global equity solution and uses a multi-factor stock selection methodology based on value, momentum, yield, and low risk premia. The fund comes with an expense ratio of 0.40%.

Fixed income

The TD Canadian Long Term Federal Bond ETF (TCLB CN) seeks to earn income by investing primarily in fixed-rate Canadian government securities while targeting a portfolio duration of 15 years. The fund comes with an expense ratio of 0.40%.

The TD US Long Term Treasury Bond ETF (TULB CN) is similar to the TD Canadian Long Term Federal Bond ETF but focuses on US Treasury securities. It comes with an expense ratio of 0.40%.

The TD Active US High Yield Bond ETF (TUHY CN) seeks to earn income by investing primarily in high-yield bonds rated BB+ to B- from issuers based in the US. Security selection is driven by a bottom-up analysis of credit fundamentals. The fund hedges currency exposure between the US dollar and Canadian dollar and comes with an expense ratio of 0.40%.

The TD Active Global Income ETF (TGFI CN) seeks to earn income by investing in an asset mix of approximately 50% investment-grade and 50% high-yield securities from issuers located worldwide including in emerging markets. Security selection is driven by an optimized approach that considers fundamental analysis of country, currency, and interest rate factors. The fund comes with an expense ratio of 0.40%.

The TD Income Builder ETF (TPAY CN) utilizes an ETF-of-ETFs structure to provide access to a globally diversified portfolio of sovereign and corporate bonds. The fund invests in a broad spectrum of fixed income ETFs, including TDAM’s own product. The fund comes with an expense ratio of 0.40%.

Real Estate

The TD Active Global Real Estate Equity ETF (TGRE CN) invests in a globally diversified portfolio of REITs and equity securities of companies that invest or operate primarily in the real estate sector. Emphasis is placed on companies with stable fundamentals, quality management, and financial strength. The fund hedges foreign currency exposure and comes with an expense ratio of 0.65%.

The new launches bring the total number of TDAM ETFs listed in Canada to 23.
