Purpose Investments has launched two active ETFs catering to investors seeking income-generating opportunities. The Purpose Conservative Income ETF (Toronto: PRP) and the Purpose Canadian Financial Income ETF (Toronto: BNC) invests in developed North American and Canadian securities respectively while each employs derivatives to either manage downside risk or further boost income. Purpose Investments, a Toronto-based asset manager, has launched the Purpose US Cash ETF (PSU) on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The fund aims to maximise monthly income while preserving capital and liquidity by investing primarily in US dollar-denominated high interest deposit accounts and high-quality money market securities. Securities chosen for inclusion will generally have term maturities of one year or less.

GoldTrust, a Canadian-domiciled gold bullion investment trust, has partnered with Purpose Investments, a Toronto-based asset manager, in proposing the conversion of the trust into an exchange-traded fund managed by Purpose. The trust has written a letter to current unitholders, citing the enhanced benefits of the ETF format, including improved liquidity through dual Canadian- and US-listings, as well as less significant trading deviations from net asset value (NAV). The move is in response to a hostile takeover bid from Sprott Asset Management.

Purpose Investments, a Toronto-based asset manager, has announced the launch of the Purpose Tactical Investment Grade Bond ETF (BND) on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The exchange-traded fund is actively managed, offering a yield maximisation strategy while also seeking to control risk through careful management of portfolio duration. Purpose Investments has announced the launch of its sixth exchange-traded fund, the Purpose High Interest Savings ETF (PSA), since making its debut in the ETF space in September this year. The Toronto-listed fund seeks to maximize monthly income while preserving capital and liquidity by investing substantially all of its assets in high interest deposit accounts with one or more Chartered Banks and/or Canadian credit unions.
