Wells Fargo is seeking to launch its own ETF business, according to papers filed with the SEC. The US bank has initially registered a single ETF – the Wells Fargo Ultra Short Duration Income ETF – which will provide active exposure to ultra-short duration bonds.


Franklin Templeton launches actively managed ultra-short bond ETF

Franklin Templeton has expanded its range of actively managed fixed income ETFs with the launch of an ultra-short bond fund. The Franklin Liberty Ultra Short Bond ETF (FLUD US) has listed on NYSE Arca and comes with an expense ratio of 0.15%. Patrick O’Connor, Global Head of ETFs for Franklin Templeton, said, “FLUD provides investors with diversification in the ultra-short investment category and seeks a higher yield potential than traditional cash investments with limited additional risks.”


Fidelity rolls out enhanced equity ESG ETFs on LSE and Xetra

Fidelity International has extended its range of sustainable investment funds with the launch of three actively managed enhanced equity ETFs on London Stock Exchange and Xetra. The ETFs provide broad US, European and global equity market exposures while targeting companies that Fidelity believes offer superior sustainability and fundamental characteristics. JP Morgan Asset Management has announced changes to its US ETF product suite including the introduction of its first actively managed equity ETFs and the closure of ETFs providing hedge fund-style returns. DWS introduces its first ESG fixed income ETFs in US

DWS has introduced its first fixed income ETFs in the US to incorporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. The funds, which have been created by repurposing a trio of unloved existing listings, provide exposure to USD-denominated investment grade, high yield, and EM sovereign bonds. Luke Oliver, Head of Index Investing for the Americas at DWS, commented, “Our growing Xtrackers ETF suite continues to deliver ESG solutions across core benchmarks, which can help align client portfolios with business models at the intersection of shareholder and stakeholder value creation.”
