Scotia Global adds emerging markets ETF to low-cost ‘core’ suite

Scotia Global has added an emerging markets fund to its suite of ultra-low-cost core portfolio ETFs.

The Scotia Emerging Markets Equity Index Tracker ETF (SITE CN) has been listed on Canada’s NEO Exchange with a management fee of 0.16%.

The fund’s administration fee, which is expected to decrease as assets under management accumulate, is 0.09% at launch.

The ETF tracks the Solactive GBS Emerging Markets Large & Mid Cap Index which covers the largest companies making up approximately 85% of the total market capitalization in each of 24 emerging market countries. Chinese A-shares are admitted to the index with an inclusion factor of 20%.

Scotia Global debuted its ultra-low-cost suite of core portfolio ETFs in November 2020 with the introduction of a multi-sector Canadian bond fund as well as three equity strategies targeting stocks from Canadian, US, and global developed ex-North America universes. These ETFs come with management fees ranging between 0.03% and 0.15%.

More recently, the firm unveiled a similar suite of four low-cost core portfolio ETFs that deliver the same investment exposures but with responsible investment mandates.
