VanEck Green Infrastructure ETF (RNEW US) – Portfolio Construction Methodology
The underlying Indxx US Green Infrastructure – MCAP Weighted Index targets US-listed companies whose businesses enable green energy production, distribution, or supporting infrastructure. The universe is common stocks of issuers listed and domiciled in the United States. To be initially eligible, securities must have market cap greater than USD 500 million as of a selection date roughly one month before reconstitution and must derive at least 50% of total revenue from defined green infrastructure activities such as green transportation, renewable power, green fuels, pollution control, waste management, and green construction. From this theme-screened set, the index seeks to include approximately 50 constituents, using a modified market-capitalization weighting that starts from market-cap-proportional weights and then adjusts them to reduce single-issuer concentration. The index follows an annual reconstitution schedule with semi-annual rebalancing, allowing weights to migrate with price moves between scheduled reviews.
