The Questrade Global Total Equity ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks to establish a long-term strategic view through a top-down analysis of global economic trends, while using a bottom-up strategy to exploit opportunistic short-term market deviations.

John Youn, Executive Managing Director, ETFs & Global Structured Products at Questrade commented: “The beauty of actively managed ETFs is they are designed to go beyond basic index investing. By applying a disciplined approach, the Questrade Global Total Equity ETF provides investors all the advantages of having an institutional style of investment management.”

As of 9 October 2015, the fund had 52 holdings. The top holdings included iShares Core MSCI EAFE IMI (28.7%) and iShares S&P/TSX Completion (6.1%). There is a total expense ratio of 0.85%.

The Questrade Fixed Income Core Plus ETF is also actively managed, seeking opportunistic higher yields in a dynamic interest rate environment. The sub-advisor for the fund is Jarislowsky Fraser Limited.

“There are areas of the fixed income market space previously inaccessible to retail investors and only available to institutional money managers, like Jarislowsky Fraser. Combining our expertise in the retail space with Jarislowsky Fraser’s investment management leadership, we created an ETF that finally opens the doors for investors and advisors to a broad selection of fixed income securities and opportunities,” said Youn.

As of 9 October 2015, the fund had 55 holdings of which the largest single issue allocation was to Government Canada 3.5%, Dec 01, 2045 (8.6%),

These latest launches complement a growing suite of ETFs launched earlier this year as part of the Questrade Smart ETF range. These include:
