Invesco WilderHill Clean Energy ETF (PBW US) – Portfolio Construction Methodology

The underlying WilderHill Clean Energy Index targets U.S.-listed companies whose primary businesses advance cleaner energy and conservation across renewable generation, storage, efficiency, and enabling technologies. Eligibility requires a three-month average market cap ≥ USD 50 million and sufficient trading liquidity; micro-cap and illiquid names are screened out. Constituents are assigned to clean-energy subsectors and are equal-weighted within those sectors to avoid dominance by any single theme; sector allocations are preset to emphasize technologies with higher impact, and are maintained at each review. The index is broadly diversified across technology, industrials, and materials, and excludes companies without a clear clean-energy nexus. Reconstitution and rebalancing occur quarterly on a set schedule, resetting sector and constituent weights and introducing new eligible names while removing those that no longer meet inclusion rules.
