Interactive Brokers has introduced a new functionality on its electronic trading platform allowing investors to trade 24 popular US-listed ETFs 23 and a half hours a day, five days a week.
Interactive Brokers has introduced overnight trading for 24 popular US-listed ETFs.
The functionality is available on Interactive Brokers’ Eos Automated Trading System (IBEOS) from 8:00 pm ET to 3:30 am ET with the first session of the week beginning on Sunday at 8:00 pm ET and the last session of the week ending on Friday at 3:30 am ET.
Any trades occurring during overnight trading hours will be settled on schedule as if they had occurred during the next US stock regular trading hours session.
The new functionality enables clients with US stock trading permission to react immediately to market-moving news, benefitting US-based investors as well as those in Europe and Asia who may seek greater access to US equity markets during their trading day.
