Goldman Sachs Asset Management has expanded its ‘MarketBeta’ suite of low-cost, core portfolio ETFs with the launch of a new US equity fund.

Goldman Sachs’ MarketBeta ETFs are designed for investors seeking low-cost core portfolio exposures.
The Goldman Sachs MarketBeta US 1000 Equity ETF (GUSA US) has been listed on NYSE Arca with an expense ratio of 0.15%.
The fund is linked to the Solactive GBS United States 1000 Index which consists of the 1,000 largest stocks listed in the US weighted by float-adjusted market capitalization.
The index is rebalanced on a quarterly basis with buffer rules helping to limit unnecessary turnover.
The ETF serves as a direct challenge to the $29.2 billion iShares Russell 1000 ETF (IWB US) which is also priced at 0.15%.
Goldman Sachs already offers a US equity strategy within its MarketBeta suite – the $600m Goldman Sachs MarketBeta US Equity ETF (GSUS US). GSUS tracks the Solactive GBS United States Large & Mid Cap Index which covers 85% of total US market capitalization and currently has 547 constituents, as of 13 April. The fund’s expense ratio is 0.07%.
There are two more funds in the MarketBeta suite which target global developed ex-US and emerging market equities – they are the $370m Goldman Sachs MarketBeta International Equity ETF (GSID US) and $30m Goldman Sachs MarketBeta Emerging Markets Equity ETF (GSEE US).
