The funds look beyond traditional geographic or sector exposures to target companies that are aligned with renewable energy production, clean water, data centres and digital infrastructure, and lithium batteries.

They bring the firm’s total UCITS ETF line-up in Europe to 17, 16 of which fall within a ‘Thematic Growth’ family of ETFs that offer exposure to “long-term, paradigm-shifting themes”.

The new additions are the Global X Renewable Energy Producers UCITS ETF (RNRG LN), the Global X Clean Water UCITS ETF (AQWA LN), the Global X Data Center REITs & Digital Infrastructure UCITS ETF (VPN LN) and the Global X Lithium & Battery Tech UCITS ETF (LITU LN).

Commenting on the rollout, Morgane Delledonne, Director of Research, Europe, Global X, said: “The thematic landscape is rapidly evolving as a greater emphasis on sustainability and clean technology permeates our global consciousness and technological innovation continues at a rapid clip. With these new ETFs, investors have a unique opportunity to capture several structural changes happening around the globe”.
