Invesco MSCI Green Building ETF (GBLD US) – Portfolio Construction Methodology

The underlying MSCI Global Green Building Index (USD) offers global exposure to companies whose business models are closely tied to the green building theme. The universe is the MSCI ACWI IMI, covering developed and emerging market large, mid and small caps that meet MSCI’s investability requirements for free-float market cap, liquidity and foreign ownership limits. Companies are classified using MSCI’s sustainable impact framework, and only issuers deriving at least 50% of revenues from products, services or ownership of properties that improve building energy efficiency, reduce operational emissions, or meet defined green-building certification standards are eligible. Additional exclusions remove firms with very severe ESG controversies or involvement in controversial weapons. Constituents are weighted by float-adjusted market cap, with issuer-level caps applied at each quarterly index review to prevent extreme concentration and to keep the index broadly aligned with the risk profile of the underlying global investable market universe.
