The underlying Nasdaq-100 Top 30 Index offers concentrated exposure to the 30 largest companies (by company weight) within the Nasdaq-100. Eligibility inherits all Nasdaq-100 rules; constituents deleted from the Nasdaq-100 are simultaneously removed. At each quarterly review (March, June, September, December), companies are ranked by the new company weights of the Nasdaq-100, the top 30 are selected, and weights are set via a modified capitalization process: no company >22.5%; the aggregate weight of companies >4.5% cannot exceed 48%, enforced iteratively by capping the smallest overweight names at 4.5% and redistributing to under-cap names until the constraint is met. Reconstitution and rebalance occur on the same quarterly schedule, with no mid-cycle replacements except for corporate-action events.

Investment Proposition

iShares Nasdaq Top 30 Stocks ETF (QTOP) provides targeted exposure to the largest non-financial companies listed on Nasdaq, concentrating on a select leadership cohort that has historically driven a meaningful share of index-level fundamentals. The strategy seeks to mirror the performance of that concentrated segment, resulting in a high-conviction portfolio where stock-specific outcomes and sector skews meaningfully influence return dispersion. Investors should expect pronounced large-cap growth characteristics, with sensitivity to innovation cycles, product pipelines, and shifts in digital advertising, cloud, semiconductors, and platform economics. In accelerating growth phases and benign credit conditions, the profile can compound quickly; during risk-off periods or policy tightening, valuations and single-name factor exposures can amplify drawdowns. QTOP can serve as a satellite growth sleeve, a tactical tilt toward mega-cap innovators, or a factor-completion tool when a core U.S. equity allocation underweights dominant platforms. Likely users include outcome-oriented allocators running core-satellite equity structures and advisors expressing thematic growth via liquid, rules-based baskets. A key fund-specific risk is concentration: performance may hinge on a handful of constituents, increasing idiosyncratic and sector-level volatility relative to broad benchmarks.
