The underlying Nasdaq Composite Index provides broad exposure to domestic and international common-type equities listed exclusively on the Nasdaq Stock Market. Every qualifying share class is included. There are no country, sector, market-cap, liquidity, or free-float screens, but a security must have traded on Nasdaq for at least one day and received an official closing price. All eligible securities enter without ranking or buffers. Constituents are weighted by full market capitalization, using each security’s price multiplied by total shares outstanding, rather than publicly available float. Membership, shares, and weights are reviewed daily using the previous trading day and become effective at the next market open; newly eligible securities are added and ineligible securities removed daily.

Investment Proposition

Fidelity Nasdaq Composite Index ETF (ONEQ) delivers broad exposure to Nasdaq-listed U.S. equities across the cap spectrum, naturally tilted toward technology, communication services, and consumer growth franchises alongside a long tail of smaller innovators. The fund’s capitalization-weighted construction blends mega-cap leaders with hundreds of lesser-known names, creating a portfolio where top holdings materially influence outcomes while the breadth captures emerging growth themes. Performance is typically driven by earnings growth, innovation cycles, and market liquidity, with pronounced sensitivity to equity risk appetite and interest-rate expectations; it can shine in risk-on, disinflationary, or productivity-led periods and lag during value rotations, higher-rate regimes, or profitability squeezes. ONEQ works as a growth-oriented satellite, a factor tilt toward momentum and quality-growth, or a complement to broader core equity to increase exposure to innovation-centric industries. Suitable users include asset allocators seeking secular growth ballast within diversified models and advisors running thematic-aware, benchmark-adjacent sleeves. Supportive regimes include stable or falling real yields and improving earnings breadth; challenges arise with tightening liquidity or regulatory headwinds to large platforms. Key risk to monitor: concentration effects from market-cap weighting that can heighten drawdown asymmetry.
