Securities are US-listed common stocks that generally represent about 90% of US equity market cap; companies below USD 1 billion market cap are removed to focus on larger issuers. Remaining stocks are screened for dividend yield above the S&P 500 Composite dividend yield and then ranked using a three-factor process combining Value Line Safety and Timeliness ranks with dividend yield. An optimization framework selects and weights a diversified subset of the highest-scoring names while constraining sector and single-name exposures and dynamically adjusting the portfolio’s target beta between roughly 0.8 and 1.0 based on market conditions. The index remains fully invested in equities, is rebalanced monthly, and is intended to maintain broad sector diversification while emphasizing high-quality, high-dividend payers with favorable near-term return forecasts.

Investment Proposition

KraneShares Value Line Dynamic Dividend Equity Index ETF (KVLE) targets equity income from U.S. large-cap companies using a systematic selection process that emphasizes dividend yield alongside quality and momentum-style rankings. The portfolio seeks to balance income generation with equity participation by favoring firms exhibiting financial strength and favorable risk-adjusted characteristics, while a market-adaptive framework can adjust exposures as leadership changes across sectors and factors. Expected tilts often include value and quality, with variability in cyclical versus defensive weights as rankings evolve; turnover is periodic and rules-driven. Performance sensitivity leans toward earnings durability, payout sustainability, and the relative appeal of dividends versus bond yields across the cycle. Within portfolios, KVLE can operate as an equity-income core holding, a factor-completion tool to introduce quality/value balance, or a satellite sleeve complementing growth exposure. It suits income-seeking equity allocators and multi-asset strategists targeting systematic dividend exposure with guardrails around stock-level quality. A fund-specific risk to monitor is methodology-induced concentration and turnover, which may amplify transaction costs and tracking error versus broad-market equity benchmarks.
