Investment Proposition

VanEck Digital Transformation ETF (DAPP) targets equity exposure to companies tied to the digital-asset ecosystem, including exchanges, miners, infrastructure providers and firms applying blockchain in finance and enterprise. The strategy holds a focused yet diversified basket across the value chain, enabling participation in adoption cycles via listed equities rather than holding tokens. Return drivers include crypto-asset pricing, network activity, transaction volumes, regulatory developments and capital-markets access for miners and platforms. Typical traits include high volatility, sensitivity to risk appetite and momentum, and tilts toward growth and cyclicality, alongside operational and jurisdictional risks. Portfolio roles include a thematic satellite for innovation mandates, a tactical overlay for expressing crypto beta in equity format, and a diversifier for investors who cannot or prefer not to custody tokens. Likely users include growth-oriented allocators comfortable with thematic cycles, and institutions seeking indirect exposure within an equity policy sleeve. Supportive regimes include rising digital-asset prices, increasing network usage and clearer regulation; challenging settings include risk-off periods, restrictive policy shifts and energy cost spikes that pressure mining economics. A fund-specific consideration is theme concentration: narrow breadth can amplify headline and regulatory shocks, increasing drawdown potential.
