Global X Telemedicine & Digital Health ETF (EDOC US) – Portfolio Construction Methodology
The underlying Global X HealthTech Index provides global equity exposure to companies whose primary businesses sit at the intersection of healthcare and technology. The index targets firms running telemedicine platforms, digital diagnostics, healthcare analytics, connected medical devices, electronic health-record systems and other technology-enabled health services. Constituents are drawn from developed markets and major emerging markets, including ADRs, subject to minimum size, free-float and trading-liquidity requirements intended to keep the portfolio investable. Eligible securities must derive a substantial share of revenue from health-technology activities, as defined in the index methodology, and are identified using industry classifications and business-description screening. The index then weights constituents by free-float-adjusted market cap while applying diversification constraints to individual issuers. It is reviewed and rebalanced on a regular schedule to add new HealthTech leaders and remove companies that no longer meet the thematic and investability criteria.
