Amundi has announced that its ultra-low-cost ‘Prime’ range of core ETFs has reached €2 billion in assets under management, just 18 months since the range was unveiled.

The range debuted in March 2019, consisting then of nine funds listed on Xetra and London Stock Exchange with across-the-board fees of just 0.05%.
The range has since been expanded to 12 funds, spanning a number of key core developed market exposures across equity and fixed income asset classes, with listings on Borsa Italiana also added.
The funds track indices designed and calculated by Solactive and incorporate controversial weapons screening.
Amundi said the range was proving popular across all client segments with strong demand from distributors, who are increasingly looking to provide ETF-based solutions to their clients. Further notable interest was coming from online wealth management platforms in major European markets.
Reflecting European ETF market trends over the past 18 months, fixed income exposures account for two-thirds of the range’s AUM. In today’s historically low-yield environment, matters concerning operational alpha, including keeping costs low, have become a major priority for fixed income investors searching for yield.
The largest funds in the range are the Amundi Prime Euro Corporates UCITS ETF (PRIC LN) and the Amundi Prime Euro Govies UCITS ETF (PRIR LN) with €893 million and €612m respectively.
